A.C. Generator एक ऐसी मशीन है जो mechanical energy को electrical energy में बदलती है।
इसे एक Yugoslav scientist Nikola Tesla ने डिज़ाइन किया था।
⚙️ Principle (सिद्धांत):
A.C. Generator electromagnetic induction के सिद्धांत पर काम करता है।
जब किसी coil से गुजरने वाला magnetic flux बदलता है, तो coil में electric current (e.m.f.) उत्पन्न होता है।
🔧 Main Parts of A.C. Generator:
1. Armature (आर्मेचर):
- एक rectangular coil (जैसे ABCD) होती है।
- यह insulated copper wire से बनी होती है और एक soft iron core पर लिपटी होती है।
- यह coil अपनी axis के चारों तरफ घूम सकती है।
2. Field Magnets (फील्ड मैगनेट्स):
- N और S दो मजबूत electromagnet के पोल होते हैं।
- आर्मेचर इन्हीं poles के बीच घूमता है।
3. Slip Rings (स्लिप रिंग्स):
- S₁ और S₂ दो hollow metal rings होते हैं।
- Coil के दो सिरों को इन रिंग्स से जोड़ा जाता है और ये रिंग्स coil के साथ घूमती हैं।
4. Brushes (ब्रशेस):
- B₁ और B₂ दो carbon rods या metal plates होते हैं।
- ये स्लिप रिंग्स से संपर्क में रहते हैं और current को बाहर की सर्किट में ट्रांसफर करते हैं।
⚡ Working (काम करने का तरीका):
जब coil magnetic field में घूमती है, तो coil और field के बीच का angle बदलता रहता है।
इसी कारण magnetic flux बदलता रहता है और coil में current उत्पन्न होता है – इसे कहते हैं Electromagnetic Induction।
➤ Current की दिशा हर आधे चक्कर के बाद बदल जाती है।
📐 Magnitude of Induced e.m.f.
Magnetic Flux (ϕ):
ϕ = N (𝐁 ⋅ 𝐀) = NBA cosθ
या,
ϕ = NBA cos(ωt) — (1)
जहां:
- N = number of turns
- B = magnetic field
- A = area of coil
- ω = angular velocity
- t = time
- θ = angle between B and A
अब, Faraday’s Law के अनुसार:
Induced e.m.f (e):
e = -dϕ/dt
= – d/dt (NBA cos(ωt))
= -NBA × (-sin(ωt)) × ω
⇒ e = NBAω sin(ωt) — (2)
जब sin(ωt) = 1, तब e की value maximum होती है:
eₘₐₓ = NBAω — (3)
इसलिए,
▶ e = e₀ sin(ωt)
जहां e₀ = maximum e.m.f.
🔄 Induced Current (I):
Ohm’s Law से:
I = e / R
= (e₀ / R) × sin(ωt)
तो,
▶ I = I₀ sin(ωt)
जहां I₀ = maximum current = e₀ / R
📈 Graph (Sine Wave):
